Ontology and ontological always irritate me, even when used in excellent books, such as Graeme Goldsworthy's Gospel-Centred Hermeneutics. Most sentences in which these words are used make perfect sense without them.
Also, I am a fan of Total Depravity. I think it is an accurate Biblical representation of the natural man. It does need further explanation than just the "totally depraved" label, but what label doesn't?
